Pro Roper – Contestants that are a full pro card member of the CPRA or WPRA.
Amateur Roper – Contestants that have never roped at a pro rodeo. Amateur also includes Permit holders and Semi-pro members.
This classification is used because CFB can verify ropers status with this division.
